This past weekend Josh and I took a trip to Asheville to see our good friends and also travel to Tennessee to do some taste testing with our AMAZING caterers (Two State BBQ) for the wedding as well! Even though it was a long drive for a short stay we really had a great time reconnecting with old friends!
On Saturday we went to a local festival where they had vendors, food, music and ethnic dancing by these guys!
How cool is this food truck?
Our crew walking around, checking things out.
After the festival we grabbed some lunch then headed to The Hop West for some sweet treats. Maybe the sugar got us a little silly, but an impromptu photo session occurred. Here is my soon-to-be maid of honor, Bethany’s pensive face!
And here is her boyfriend, Hunter’s face…
I really loved walking around downtown Asheville. There is so much life and culture and vibrant people. Here are two I’m in love with!
Seriously just two cute!
We drove to get a good view of Asheville and Josh was happy breathing in the mountain air.
Here was our attempt at a “scenic photo”. Josh though it would be funny to try to pick me up and put me on the railing…NOT happening!
On our way home through the winding roads and mountains, we tried again and had a much better result!
Our weekend was a lot of fun! It was our longest roadtrip we’ve been on together and I look forward to more trips exploring our country together in the future!
