I was so excited when Marianne messaged me about doing a gender reveal photo shoot for her and her husband and I thought it was a really creative way to show what they would be having. She had some super cute ideas, one of them being smoke fountains. Even though they weren’t as intense as we were hoping they would be, I was able to capture some of the smoke effect on camera! I love doing sessions like this that are unique and different. Cray & Marianne are a super fun couple and I know that they are going to make amazing parents!

Back in 2012 I photographed Joseph and Laura’s first edition to their family, JM. Almost 5 years later I was able to photograph their newest member, baby Adaley. What a sweet and precious girl she is! So dainty and little, you can tell she has wooed the hearts of her family. I’m so glad they can count on me to make memories for their family!

This weekend, like most people on the east coast, me and my family were getting our hopes up for 10-12 inches of snow. I even had my condensed milk ready to make snow cream! But, as usual, the weather man disappointed us and we ended up with Elsa’s vengeance rather than a dreamy, snowy, wonderland.

Nonetheless me and Caroline decided to venture out today and explore our icy neighborhood. It was pretty magical, but a little too brisk so we made a short trip around the block and hurried inside to make some homemade hot chocolate.

I hope you all were safe during the storm and are staying nice and warm!

The best part of being a photographer for me is to take photos and make memories of my own family! I can’t believe how grown my nephew Lincoln has become since last Christmas. I loved taking these outdoor photos at my brother’s house. Lincoln is definitely a country boy…he loves dirt, dogs and tractors! I can’t wait to spend Christmas this year with my amazing family.
