Corey Jack’s arrival to this world was highly anticipated by his friends and family and he did not disappoint on the cuteness level! I’m so honored that I was not only able to photograph his beautiful mom’s maternity session, but also his first photo shoot in my natural light studio. I was highly impressed when he lifted up his tiny little head and grinned at me…this one is sure to be a charmer!

My sister joined our family as we went to the beach this past weekend and we decided to do a little mini photo shoot! She is always my favorite person to photograph when I get creative ideas. I love how airy these photos turned out. Hopefully this is just one of the many beach trips we’ll have together this summer!

This past weekend like many families in the summertime we spent at the Outer Banks in our family cottage. This year is quite special since I have an adorable nephew to play with and watch him discover ghost crabs and learn new words like “doughnut”. Here are a few shots of us playing on the beach and cruzin’ on the boat. Hope you and your family had a wonderful 4th of July! I have known Sara and Lionel for quite a long time, not only are they great friends but they happen to be wonderful chefs and have a catering company called Two State BBQ. They catered my wedding in 2014 and I still have people raving about the delicious food they served! Sara and Lionel were actually some of my first clients when I started my business back in 2011! They are such a sweet couple and I was so excited to hear they were adding a new member to their family. Corey Jack was born on Tuesday and I am thrilled to be photographing him in a couple of weeks with his new, most likely exhausted, mommy and daddy! Congrats Lionel & Sara!

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed photographing this family! From the moment I met Sydney at the studio for our consultation I knew it was going to be like photographing friends, which is always a joy. Love of farming and fishing is something we both share. And can we talk about how adorable baby Bear is? And the fact that he didn’t fuss once during the session. He is one happy baby with two awesome parents! Thanks Dunn family for letting me capture some special moments for you 🙂 I just love these images!
